A nice buck found its way onto the road this morning, it did not make it off the road.
Yuck.

I hope you’re okay. I always feel bad about roadkill (the Californian delicacy not the show) because it’s not the animals fault we built a road t here after centuries of there not being one.

The deer could look both ways before crossing the street.

People still struggle with this so I set the bar lower for Deer

Road was definitely there before that deer was born. He should have known better having grown up in that neighborhood.

The deer also bought a house by the airport and complains about the noise

No airbags deployed?

Ugh... that sucks. I see tons of deer out by my place, but (knocks wood) thankfully no incidents yet.

No airbags deployed thankfully. All passengers OK.

Yea we’ve been seeing a ton of them since folks are finishing up harvest... just got unlucky.

He probably had a summer house by a race track, too. Stupid, whining dear.

But is it gonna be ok?

The only redeeming quality of deer is that they taste good.

The roads have been there long enough for the deer to adapt. If they fail to do so, that's natural selection.

Amen. Deer is already at processor. Find the brightside.

The truck? maybe. Haven’t heard from the shop yet.

Mainly the deer. Damn internet... should’ve clarified.
Looks like the Jeep could be ok, then again Chrysler could have decided to put your ECU right there...

The deer is currently being processed into deliciousness. So I guess it’s OK?
ECU is not there thankfully (having recently changed it out) but we’ll see how much a new intercooler and piping costs and there was plenty of coolant on the ground too. Everyone is saying these things cost more than you’d expect to fix.

In Washington you can collect roadkill to eat except if you’re the one who hit it. I guess they don’t want rednecks running down deer and turkeys on purpose.

Oh, dear!

Interesting. Don’t know what the rules are here but the Highway patrolman had no issue with us tossing it into the back of the father in law’s truck.

Euro mount?

Kinda makes sense considering all of the other creative/illegal ways of hunting, spotlighting and such.

I agree, although it’s kind of funny to picture our rural highways patrolled by Ram 1500s equipped with spiked kanga roo bars and driven by the sort of heavyset gentlemen who like to wear camouflage on date night but could not lug a rifle half a mile without doing themselves some serious coronary damage.

Ouch welcome to the beat up look jeep club. Many jeep owners like theirs dirty and beat up.

Sadly looks like this jeep is going to look beat up and dirty in a salvage yard.
